***We have NEVER lost a dog here while in our care. (well over 1,000 rescues) Several dogs did have to be euthanized when they were in pain due to cancer or other health problems. ***We have eight families who won't board their pets anywhere except here because of our care. All of them donate for the services. ***We work with six wonderful rescue friendly veterinarians. ***We have a 100% recovery rate from almost 3,000 pets brought here for our spay/neuter clinics. ***We work with a large number of shelters/pounds/rescues and police departments who are always willing to bring us pets. Requests for their help are received daily. ***We welcome visitors. Many have stayed here from as far away as New York! Author Debra White, featured in January 2005 Dog Fancy magazine, has spent several days with us. ***We receive NO government funding and receive NO wages. All our money from outside employment goes to the pets. ***Monthy Financial Statements are compiled monthly and open to the public. Having been involved in rescue/animal welfare issues since 1979, I just have to share that I am very impressed with how Linda York with Pet Pals does wonders with animals in need. She and her group go the extra mile. Other rescuers/rescue groups talk a lot, but Pet Pals walks the talk, and does the best they can in every situation. Sadly there are folks in rescue that spend too much time looking for things they can criticize about rescues, much of it made up or imagination, instead of spending their time and energy on the animals and their needs, as Linda does with Pet Pals...As I say over and over to folks that love animals, know where the money goes. Make sure it ALL goes to the animals that need help and not to administrative costs. No one can help them all, but together we can all make a difference one at a time.
